A Bit About Hummel
Formed in 1923 by the Messmer family Hummel started out in Germany and are now based in Denmark.
Hummel means bumble bee in German, and a bumble bee is used as a logo.
In 1927 they were surely the first brand to make a white football boot, the Hummel website shows an advert stating;
One can buy a pair of hummel Spezial football boots in white chrome leather bend with rubber toecaps.
I haven’t tried these boots, but I like the classic look.
WOW! I’m sorry Hummel but those boots look like something you can get at Walmart or Zellers….
What a nice looking retro boot… beats the pants of these horrible plastic boots that are being banded about nowadays! A boot you can still clean with black olish and get a shine week after week. Fantastic!
