Alexander Hleb has been charged with violent conduct by the FA following an incident where Hleb looked to have struck Reading defender Graeme Murty.
Alexander Hleb has been charged by the Football Association with violent conduct after the FA reviewed video evidence of the incident during Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Reading on Saturday.
An FA statement read:
The incident was not seen by referee Peter Walton. Having now watched video footage of the incident, Walton has informed The FA that, had he seen it at the time, he would have shown Hleb a red card for violent conduct.
Hleb has until 6pm on Wednesday 23 April to admit or deny the charge. A Regulatory Commission will hear the case on Thursday 24 April.
