HAVE PUMA PULLED THE GREATEST MARKETING STUNT OF 2010?

Puma are perennial dark horses when it comes to the war for World Cup advertising. Not having the ridiculous planet-sized cash reserves of Nike or the official FIFA approved advertising of adidas, Puma seem to have adopted the ‘Ambush Marketing’ style made famous by Nike.

In this completely anonymous viral video, depicts a couple enjoying a helicopter ride above Cape Town, and upon reaching the stadium they notice a mass of vehicles in two adjacent fields, moving into position forming the now-famous ‘Love = Football’ sign from Puma’s advertising campaigns in the run up to the World Cup!

Like we said before, this video doesn’t have any Puma branding on it at all, so it’s not from them officially – but we also think it’d be too bigger coincidence to say that it had absolutely nothing to do with the German brand!
