George Best boots sold for £1,500

George Best Football BootsFootball boots, once worn by George Best were sold at auction for £1,500 this week.

The football boots were said to be used by Best to pay a garage bill when he played for Manchester United. Best had signed the used football boots which he gave to the garage owner. They were later given by the garage owner to his brother-in-law, who decided to sell them.

David Beckham Football Boots

David Beckham Football BootsThe auction also saw the sale of a pair of David Beckham’s football boots, worn last year, which went for £4,800.

The Beckham football boots, worn during the season 2004-05, were white Predator Pulse Traxion football boots, fitted with soft ground blue blades.

They were personalised with stitching of ROMEO (to left boot), BROOKLYN (to right boot), CRUZ (tongue of both boots), DB (to upper heels), 23 (to lower heels) and Beckham’s printed signature (on both heels).

Sounds like they matched his body!
