CONTRACT TALKS LOOMING FOR LAMPARD

Frank Lampard ChelseaChelsea fans will have to wait a few more weeks before learning if midfielder Frank Lampard is to stay at the club.

It’s been decided between the London side and the player to delay contract talks until after Lampard returns from England duty and the games against the USA and then Trinidad & Tobago.

Lampard returned home yesterday with his Chelsea team mates following their defeat to Manchester United in the Champions League final.

As well as losing out to United in the race for the Premier League title too, Lampard has been mourning the loss of his mother who died recently of pneumonia.

The England international, who’s been strongly linked with a move to Italy and Inter Milan said:

Petr Cech Orange I have got to talk to the club. My contract has obviously been the last thing on my mind in the last six weeks but I will sit down and talk with them after the England games.

I hope we can come to a conclusion, I am pretty confident we can. I have said that many times before.
