Chelsea are confident of landing Nicolas Anelka, so confident they think he will feature for them this weekend. With Avram Grant having access to the Abromovich purse strings, its no surprise they are confident, a sniff of cash and Anelka is usually on the move.

Arsenal are closing in on another young teenage talent, Gillingham’s Luke Freeman. Shocked? So are we, he’s English! Sven Tells Fabio, Play Beck’s

Sven-GÄ‚¶ran Eriksson has threatened England manager Fabio Capello, “Let Beckham get 100 caps or I will phone you and tell you to”. Fabio is no doubt quaking in his Zerorh+ glasses. We’re certain it had no influence on his statement, but Sven announced this at a tribute dinner to recognise David Beckham‘s contribution to the game.

Nick Could ‘Owen’ the Hatters

Nick Owen is leading a consortium to save Luton Town FC. Formerly half of the Anne and Nick daytime TV show, he was the latter half, Owen has been a lifelong Luton fan and believes his consortium is well placed to save the club who almost edged Liverpool out of the FA Cup at the weekend.

Gary Neville, the chuckle brother still at Manchester United, despite not playing since March, returns to action for the reserves against Everton tonight.
