Keegan Is Back In Toon
Phew…. Just as we started to try and put together the latest shenanigans regarding the Newcastle manager fiasco, news hit us that Kevin Keegan has returned to the Toon.
“I’d love it, just love it if I get the chance to go back to Newcastle”. Remember his rant at Fergie, too young? It was back in 1996, live on Sky TV – watch the video.
But can the man who in 1997: Resigned as Newcastle, 1999: Resigned from Fulham, 2000:Resigned as England manager, 2005:Leaves Man City by mutual consent, really be the man to turn things around? Will Shearer join him as No. 2? Let us know your thoughts, send your thoughts and comments to “[email protected]”
Fabio’s First Run In…..
They’ve got their teeth into him already. The press have their first strike at the new England manager.
Capello is the subject of a tax investigation in Italy, but he says there is nothing to worry about, this something they do to many high profile individuals. So the Italian Tax Man, looks in the Gazetta and says, “He is high profile now, let’s investigate him.” Good one Fabio, nice start. link
Lassana Diarra, the French midfielder who forced a move away from Chelsea and has played a similar hand at Arsenal, looks like he is joining our ‘Arry at Portsmouth. What of his ambition? He had a chance at Chelsea, then Arsenal and didn’t step up to the level required. link
Didier Drogba, away at the African Cup of Nations, has been stirring things up. Maybe when he’s at arms length from Avram he feels he can get away with it. He’s come out and said he wants Barcelona to bid for him, and his buddy at the ANC has said he would welcome the opportunity. Thierry Henry, who has failed to set Barca on fire, is keeping quiet on the subject. link
Bolton have bagged the Icelandic right back Gretar Steinsson. Steinsson underwent an unsuccessful trial with Bolton nearly six years ago, where they could have picked him up for peanuts, but now Bolton welcome him and have shelled out £3.5 million. link
WAGs (wives and girlfriends)
Whilst Cashley Cole is getting over being dropped and having the captains armband taken off him, during a match, his WAG has had better fortunes. Cheryl Cole‘s band Girls Aloud have been nominated for a BRIT Award, something she has yearned for. Lets hope she doesn’t leave the band if the fans cheer louder for one of her band members, eh Ash? link
