Klinsmann Approached by Liverpool
What is it with club owners and their handling of their managers? Liverpool spoke with Klinsmann about taking over at Anfield, prior to Klinsmann going to Bayern Munich. Co owner Hicks said “We attempted to negotiate an option as an insurance policy to have him [Klinsmann] become manager if Rafael left for Real Madrid or other clubs that were rumoured in the press.”

New England Shirt Poorly Designed?
JJB Sports, who were recently forced to part refund England fans for overpricing of England shirts, have taken a swipe at Umbro, the England shirt makers. JJB said that it will buy record low numbers of the new England away shirt because it is poorly designed. Not because they were recently fined, or because England are not in Euro 2008? link
