CHAMPIONS LEAGUE DRAW THROWS UP FERGUSON V MOURINHO TIE

Champions League logoSir Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho will go head to head in the last 16 of the Uefa Champions League.

In one of the most intriguing clashes of the first knock out round, United will travel to Mourinho’s Inter Milan before hosting the return leg at Old Trafford.

Elsewhere, Liverpool have drawn Real Madrid, giving manager Rafael'  Benitez a trip back to his home'  land, Chelsea will play Juventus who are managed by former Blues coach Claudio Ranieri and Arsenal will take on AS Roma.

The ties will be played on 24th and 25th February with the second legs on 10th and 11th March.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa and Tottenham will meet in the last 16 of the Uefa Cup should they knock out CSKA Moscow and Shakhtar Donetsk respectively in the last 32.

Manchester City have been paired up with FC Copenhagen with a potential tie against Deportivo La Coruna in the last 16 should they beat the Danes.

And should David Beckham be playing for AC Milan’s first team come late February, he could feature in their tie with Werder Bremen.
