Rio Ferdinand is set to sign a new five year deal at Manchester United, worth a staggering £120,000 per week.
Rio Ferdinand is close to signing a five year extension to his contract at Manchester United. The new deal will keep the centre back at the club until after his 33rd birthday.
The deal is said to have been agreed between the club and the player’s agent, Pini Zahavi.
The England defender, who recently wore his country’s armband will become United’s biggest earner, again. He was originally on a salary of more than £100,000 a week, when he signed his current deal in August 2005. That salary was overtaken when Cristiano Ronaldo signed a deal worth about £120,000 a week last April, but now Ferdinand will have that deal matched.
