England 6-0 Andorra – World Cup qualifying group 8.
Two goals each for Rooney and Defoe, another from Lampard and one for Crouch was no more than England deserved as they made light work of Andorra. It leaves England needing four points from their last three games to be assured of qualification, but one win will almost certainly do the job.
How England Rated
Robert Green -6 – Green didn’t have to make a single save , in fact he didn’t touch the ball until the 23rd minute.England no little more about his credentials as England’s No. 1.

Glen Johnson – 9 – Needed a decent performance after being embarrassed against Kazakhstan at the weekend and he delivered one. Always better in attack than defending.

Ashley Cole – 7 – Also did well attacking from the full back position. If he maintains form like this he will keep the ‘Boo Boys’ at bay.

Steven Gerrard -7 – As expected he worked tirelessly for England. Didn’t quite shine as much as some of the other big players. Was rested at half time.

Joleon Lescott -6 – Got another useful cap under his belt. Wasn’t tested defensively, like the rest of England’s defence, but should have scored at the business end.

John Terry (C) -6 – The captain was in control throughout, never troubled. Since being confirmed as Capello’s England skipper has led the side to a 100% qualifying campaign.

David Beckham – 8 – The old man was put in the heart of midfield in the absence of Gareth Barry. Not a risky decision against this kind of opposition, but Beckham showed what he can do, spraying the ball about with perfection.

Frank Lampard -7 – Three in four England games for Lampard. Not a favourite with non Chelsea fans, but nobody can knock his record for England – prolific.

Peter Crouch -6 – The ‘long lad’ couldn’t be faulted for hs effort and he deserved his goal. He still has much to prove to Capello to stake a claim for a shirt on a regular basis.

Wayne Rooney – 9 – Lethal. Rooney can’t stop scoring for England right now and looked dangerous each time he received the ball. A truly world class player that England need to wrap in cotton wool for the World Cup.

Theo Walcott – 7 – Despite starting the game looking nervous, Walcot’s pace was always a weapon for England. Andorra doubled up on him, leaving space for others. More expected as he matures.

England Substitutes:
Wayne Bridge -6 – Bridge has had to live in the shadow of Ashley Cole throughout his England career. An easy cameo appearance will not help his cause.

Ashley Young -7 – Looked exciting on the ball, and Beckham made sure he got plenty of it. With Young on the left and Walcott on the right, England looked very dangerous.

Jermain Defoe – 8 -Looked sharp and determined when he came on at the break. Defoe was single minded and direct, he’ll be happy with his brace.
I agree with your stars for Johnson and Rooney, but I thought Beckham was equally good and the new f50i looks amazing.
