Arsenal have revealed that Eduardo will return to action later this month when he lines up in Arsenal’s reserve team against Portsmouth.
The Croatian international suffered a horror injury at Birmingham back in February and there were fears that he wouldn’t play again after fracturing his left fibula and dislocating his left ankle.
But he is now taking part in training sessions and will turn out for the Gunners reserve team on 16th December against Pompey at Barnet’s Underhill ground.
The news will come as a timely boost to Arsenal who have an 8 point gap to make up on league leaders Liverpool despite recent wins against Chelsea and Manchester United.
Manager Arsene Wenger said:
He is joining in full training matches but needs games now.
However, the news on Czech Republic midfielder Tomas Rosicky isn’t as good as the Arsenal midfielder faces at least another three months on the sidelines because of a damaged hamstring tendon.
