DIARRA OFF TO REAL MADRID

portsmouthPortsmouth have accepted a bid from Real Madrid for Lassana Diarra.

Journeyman Lassana Diarra looks to be on his way out of Fratton Park after receiving permission to talk to the Spanish side Real Madrid.

Real Madrid’s new manager Juande Ramos is looking to sure up his team next month when the transfer window opens and sees Diarra as one of the answers to Real’s struggling midfield.

Statement from Portsmouth’s website reads;

DIARRA REAL MADRID We have always said that we would only allow our players to leave if we received an exceptional bid.

We could not stand in the way of a move such as this for Lassana.

It shows how far the club has come under the ownership of Alexandre Gaydamak when Real Madrid come in for one of our players.

Should the deal be completed, the club has already identified possible replacements.

Diarra moved from Chelsea to Arsenal in 2007, then from Arsenal to Portsmouth at the beginning of this year. He will now discuss personal terms and undergo a medical with Real Madrid.
