It’s always exciting when you see a brand going great guns to revamp their line-up – and that’s exactly what Diadora are up to at the minute.
Fresh from creating their lightest-ever football boot and the…erm… innovative Cambio, Diadora have also updated the Evoluzione range with a striking new incarnation.
The original Diadora Evoluzione K Pro was one of our favourite ‘niche’ releases of last year. Not only were they an absolutely cracking football boot, but they enjoyed a good chunk of time in the spotlight on the feet of Antonio Cassano at Euro 2012.
Now, Diadora have given them a slight name-change and a fresh set of features as they aim to be the brand to watch in the 2013-14 season.
After the synthetic GLX-whatchamacallit, Diadora continue their illustrious heritage of using top-notch K-Leather on the DD-Evoluzione 2 K.
The entire upper is made of K-Leather, but the forefoot boasts the headline addition to the DD-Evoluzione 2: a ‘Touch Control’ finish, not too dissimilar to what we’ve seen on boots from other companies in the past.
Inside, the boot boasts a special liner which allows the boot to mould to a player’s feet, but won’t stretch the leather out of it’s intended shape, and a' Ergos NP anatomical footbed with DA2 Double Action, supporting the foot throughout a variety of stressful motions.
As with pretty much all the Diadora boot range, the DD-Evoluzione 2' also features the NET Breathing System in the soleplate to keep the foot breathable without letting water and debris through.
Probably best of all, though, is that this boot will skim just under the $140 mark in the US – which is a pretty wallet-friendly price-point for a feature-packed K-Leather boot.
What do you think of the DD-Evoluzione 2? Let us know in the comments or via the boot-o-meter.
Just orderd them. Pretty hyped to see diadora updating their design
I am getting a pair in the White/Green/Black Colorway. Lover the features as well as the leather.
