Jermain Defoe looks set for a trip down memory White Hart Lane.
Jermain Defoe was sold by Tottenham to Portsmouth a year ago for a fee of £7.5 million and following a medical today, he may be heading back to Spurs for a fee thought to be double that.
The England international, with 30 caps, wants to follow manager Harry Redknapp back to Spurs.
Defoe, 26 years old, has scored 15 goals in 31 league appearances for Portsmouth since the move, but has been unsettled since Tony Adams took over as manager at Fratton Park.
Now Defoe could be unveiled as a Tottenham player again as early as tonight, when Spurs play Burnley in the first leg of their Carling Cup semi-final.
