DARREN FLETCHER SWAPS NIKE FOR ADIDAS

Footy-Boots.com can confirm this morning that Manchester United Midfielder Darren Fletcher has traded his long-standing association with Nike football boots for German rivals adidas.

The Scottish Midfielder has been Nike man since breaking into the Manchester United team back in 2003, more often than not in the Tiempo Legend line of football boots, but has now signed-on with adidas – playing and training in the adidas adiPure III.

The Dalkeith native will no longer have football boots to match the new Manchester United Home Shirt 2010 – 2011, but on the upside adidas revealed that they would be manufacturing the Scotland National Team kits, so Fletcher’s choice of boot will tarry up will there!

The news will come as something of an inconvenience to Nike, as Fletcher did have some camera-time in their new Code:RED series, to promote Manchester United’s Pre-Season activities, but we imagine that with the huge number of Nike-sponsored players on the Red Devil’s books the big ‘N’ will soon find someone to replace him!

As long as he’s banging them in for United, I really don’t care whether he’s wearing adipures or Tiempo’s to be honest!

It’s going to be weird to see him in a pair of adipure’s…especially always seeing him in a pair of black tiempo’s (i’ve never seen him play in any other color but black) had grown to be the norm.

Chicharito is lame. BUT ManU has like 25 other players to choose from to replace Fletcher. BUT I do think the AdiPures are more comfortable than the Tiempo’s!

Is it really soo important that Fletcher’s manufacturer boot choice tally’s up with his shirt manufacturer?

Sounds like your clutching at straws to piece this together.
