BENT INJURY WORRY FOR ENGLAND

Bent injury concern for EnglandEngland have more striking concerns ahead of their World Cup qualifier after Darren Bent limped out of training on Tuesday.

Bent, who was called up to the squad after injuries to Emile Heskey, Carlton Cole and Peter Crouch, only managed 5 minutes training time before limping off with a knee injury. Gabriel Agbonlahor has been added to the squad as cover.

However, Fabio Capello received better news when Peter Crouch was given the all clear after recovering from a ‘dead leg’ suffered in the friendly win against Slovakia. He could partner Wayne Rooney up front although another possibility would see Steven Gerrard supporting the front man, a role he plays regularly at Liverpool.

In defence, Rio Ferdinand is expected to return and will partner John Terry.
