Cristiano Ronaldo Football Boots Provide the Razzle-Dazzle at Old Trafford
Beckham was there but in the stands. On the pitch there was no Ronaldinho, no Maldini and only one Ronaldo – the Manchester United player rather than the burly AC Milan striker. But once Cristiano Ronaldo began to shine, all the other stars, present and absent, were eclipsed by his dazzling skills, showboating and general showing off!
Manchester United beat a star-studded Europe XI side 4-3 in last night’s charity match to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome and United’s 50 years of European football. The game raised £1.25 million for the Manchester United Foundation, a charity which provides poor young players with educational opportunities.
Cristiano Ronaldo Football Boots
Cristiano Ronaldo, wearing the white Nike Mercurial Vapor III football boot produced his full range of tricks, turns, step-overs and runs in an otherwise uninspiring game that promised more than it delivered. The highlight was the Ronaldo 35th minute free kick, which he sent flying into the roof of the net from 30 yards, with Valencia keeper Santiago Canizares reduced to the role of a spectactor as the ball went past him! Ronaldo’s look after the goal was that of a player at the peak of his game, with the arrogance that comes from his exceptional ability. Inter Milan defender Marco Materazzi added his own brand of appreciation by ending another Ronaldo run by unceremoniously chopping him down in mid-flow!
Ronaldo is expected to sign a new contract with Manchester United that would see him stay at the club until 2012 and put his earnings to £120,000 a week. On last night’s performance, the Nike football boot endorsed player is a bargain!
