It’s competition time again here on Footy-Boots.com! We’ve teamed up with Nike to offer two lucky fans the opportunity of a lifetime – read on to find out more!
Nike has transformed its store in Market Street, creating its first ever football-only store in the world, right here in the heart of Manchester.
The new store has been expanded to include a range of football specific services – NikeiD, a section where footballers can create their own bespoke pair of football boots, an online kit builder tool allowing football teams to customise their own kits, a boot embroidery service, replica kits from clubs across the globe including United and City and the latest football boots.
To celebrate the reopening of the Nike Football Store Manchester, Nike and the Footy-Boots.com are offering one Manchester United fan and one Manchester City fan the chance to attend a special, behind-closed-doors event – where they’ll play a table football match accompanied by a top player from each team.
It doesn’t stop there. Chart-topping hip hop star Tinchy Stryder will referee the game and each fan will receive exclusive Nike product.
For your chance to rub shoulders with legends from both sides of Manchester and attend this exclusive event we want you to use the comments below to tell us why you’re the ultimate City or United fan, and why you deserve this prize.
Some conditions before you enter: Winners must be available to attend the event in Manchester during the day (likely to be around noon) this week, transport won’t be covered so winners must be able to get to the location under their own steam. Make sure you leave your correct email address with us as this will be the method we use to contact the winners.
The contest closes at (18:00 GMT) 6pm tonight – so you’re going to have to be really quick to get your entry in in time – and one of the team at Footy-Boots.com will contact you to confirm the top-secret details of the event’s time and location.
I am the ultimate Manchester United fan. I currently live in the United States and wake up very early just to see the matches I had to buy a special channel to watch. I also could name the starting lineup by heart. I could even tell you their most recent game which was against the Wolves and Manchester United won it 2-1. I also know they are currently ranked #2 in the Premier League right behind Chelsea. I also am the ulimate Manchester United fan because of my idol, Wayne Rooney. I know he hasn’t done well since last season, and hadn’t done well in the world cup, but how far he’s come an how he did it is inspiriing. He truly is the last “real” footballer. Yes I’m from America and I call it football (not everyone calls it soccer over here)
Utd is my number one passion. I love the club, the players, the fans and love being known as a Utd fan. Ive taken a job on matchdays at Old Trafford as i couldnt afford a season ticket and this means i get to watch all the games as well as working for the club i love as well as feeling a part of the club.
Utd is my life, my girlfriend even has to take a backseat which has caused too many arguments!! haha.
ps: Awesome to hear about a new nike store, the last one was quality so will be sure to pay a vist if i win or not!! Good work 🙂
I’m the City fan you’re after!
Before Eastlands, before billionaires, before Tevez, Barry et. al, there was Maine Road, relegation and redemption.
I’ve seen it all!
I have been the fans of MU since 1997, the time I started to play football. The first jersey of mine for playing football is the jersey of 1997 as well. I had the red and blue one. The other one was the golden one to celebrate 100 years of the club. I have always been dreaming to be one of the right winger of the club. 🙂 In 1999, I watched the final of Champion League and It was such an amazing moment for me.
The golden generations for me will be one of the story I would tell my children in the future.
The store which a customization will be a great advantage for MU fans which are spread around the world.
I might not go as I simply can’t pay the transport but with my name in the comment, I wish I can send my message to the Theater of Dreams. 🙂
Thank you footy boots. You guys are doing a great job.
First game: Manchester united 5 Nottingham forest 0, i was 5 years old, and Eric Cantona touched my heart that game. From that point on i was hooked. Ole gunnar Solksjaer brought tears to my eyes in 1999. first Beckham, then Keane, the van nistelrooy pissed me off when they left. Sir Alex, Gary Neville, paul scholes, and Ryan Giggs will never retire!! United made me miss my high school graduation, I was ecstatic in moscow, and cried in rome, United is me, I need united.
I’ve been an ultimate fan of United since as long as I can remember. I remember skipping school to watch games, staying up and not sleeping to watch games, and screaming my head off while waking the entire neighborhood (I live in the US). Now I’m in Korea working as an English teacher saving money in order to experience the number one goal in my life, to see United play at Old Trafford. I promised myself 15 years ago that I would not die a happy man if I never went to The Theater of Dreams to see the likes of Cantona, Beckham, Keane, Ronaldo, Park, and many other players run the pitch. Being in Korea as a teacher, it saddens me to see kids with Park shirts. At first I was happy, but knowing that they are not fans of the team and are rather fans of Park brought tears to my eyes. United is a team that is united as one. Trying to push that into their little heads has been difficult, but I have not given up (haha). Being able to attend this event would make my life complete. Being able to rub shoulders with United players would truly make me the happiest man in the world.
GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED!!!
Some people call Manchester United a Religion I call it a lifestyle. Everything I proceed with in life has to be questioned, am I sacrificing any main MUFC event ? before I proceed with it such is the love I have for the club.
I have been passionate about the club ever since I understand the language of football the beauty of SAF building teams rather than buying is work to be admired regardless of who you support and the level of success has to be bowed down to.
The Cantona era, The Beckham era, The R&R era, and The Giggs & Scholes Magic could only come from a club such as MUFC.
Attending some of the games last season only taken me a step closer to feeling part of the club. I think playing alongside a MUFC player would be rightly deserved by me as I have great Table Football experience and could be more than a match for anyone even the great Ryan Giggs.
Unlike some of the other contestants I am from the UK and have been brought up in the North West admiring the game and building up a great passion.
