Chelsea have revealed that they have made a bid for Real Madrid star Robinho.
A statement on the club’s web site confirmed that they had moved for the Brazilian international although it didn’t reveal how much they had bid. However reports suggest the offer is in the region of £20 million.
Robinho played a starring role for real last season as they retained the Spanish League title but it’s understood that he’s keen to join country man Luiz Felipe Scolari at Stamford Bridge.
On Saturday Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon said that talks with the Spanish clubs had stalled.
However it’s believed that the move could be rekindled as soon as Real find a suitable replacement for the player.
