Chelsea and adidas today confirmed a multi-million pound deal that will keep adidas as the official kit provider to the London football club until the end of the 2017/18 season.

adidas and Chelsea’s history together began in 2006 when the German sportswear giant took the reigns from Umbro and have provided the club with some memorable football shirts in their 5 seasons so far – including this year’s neon green 3rd kit.

Chelsea and adidas have since undertaken a number of successful grassroots projects. This has included partnering with America™s top youth football clubs  to help develop US soccer, and the launch of ˜Blue Pitches™ aimed at encouraging young kids to participate in sport across London with plans to roll them out internationally after the launch of a Blue Pitch in Hong Kong last year.

This year looks set to be a good one for Chelsea who have looked to be the dominant force in the Premier League this season, and adidas are also having a good year, having won around major sports personalities to their brand with the success of their adidas F50 adiZero football boots

    Good news! I really like what adidas is doing with Chelsea. Very nice shirts have been created by the German brand and the fusion between both companies have created a sort of identity in few years. Similar like the relationship between adidas and clubs like Real Madrid or AC Milan.
    Personally, I love the home shirt that was designed two seasons ago.
