LiverpoolLiverpool manager Rafa Benitez believes Liverpool’s away goal could be the key to deciding the quarter-final Champions League tie.

Dirk Kuyt scored a precious away goal at Arsenal last night and later got away with a blatant foul on Alexander Hleb in the penalty area that the referee dismissed.

Kuyt’s goal could prove significant in the second leg at Anfield next Tuesday, after Liverpool go back to visit Arsenal on Saturday in the Premier League fixture.

Red’s manager Rafa Benitez is positive that Liverpool can progress through to the semi finals.

Rafa Benitez:

Rafa Benitez In the Champions League it’s always important to score an away goal and as I said before, to play at Anfield will be an advantage for us.

We know that if we score it will always be more difficult for them. If you need to play extra-time then we will be at home.

It’s a good situation for us, difficult still, but better than before the game.
