When Footy-Boots.com caught up with Arsenal and Denmark striker at the final of Nike’s The Chance contest, we wanted to talk about neon-coloured football boots. But it turns out, that the 23 year old only had one colour on his wish-list: White!
Long-time football boots aficionados will know that Bendtner was one of the first players to wear the now-infamous Mercurial Vapor SL Berry, in glorious Pink – and has since worn nearly every every colourway of Nike’s Mercurial Vapor series.
Footy-Boots.com were keen to find out if the big Danish Striker is ‘encouraged’ by Nike to wear all their outrageous football boots or whether he’s just a big fan of the designs like we are.
“I think they’re cool! I like wearing different boots all the time” was Nicklas’ answer, “Sometimes they come up with different designs, but I think Nike always do well!”
So, it seems that Bendtner is not one for the ‘Lucky Boots’ frame of mind that players like Darren Bent and Fernando Torres share, but just enjoys wearing new boots for the love of the cleats.

Our obvious next question was if the Copenhagen native could design his own football boots for a change, what colour would they be?
“I’d like to have some White ones next time so I can match them to the colours of our shirt sleeves!”
Needless to say, we were pretty shocked that the player most closely associated with garish boots (well, after the CR Safari, Ronaldo is a close second) would go for something so…understated!
To close off out time with the Arsenal forward, we asked Bendtner to sum up one piece of advice for our audience:
“Work hard, put in the effort and the rest will come.”
Stay posted here on Footy-Boots.com and we’ll bring you more time with Arsenal’s stars ahead of their Champions League Clash with Barcelona and more interviews with Premier League stars about their football boots!
I JUST WANT TO SEE SHITNER GETTIN FIRED!
i think you need to say
to close of our time
not close of out time
so we should expect to see him in the latest white superfly colourway then?
haha, i consider myself as even more hardcore than torres -since i’m a forward and NEVER EVER score when i wear anything besides white boots :p (statistically proven that 100% of my goals are scored when i wearing white boots. talks about getting superstitious now…)
speaks of the devil, every time i design something at nikeID or miadidas, i just ended up with a whiteout xP
