BECKHAM TO MISS ENTIRE MLS SEASON

David Beckham revealed today that he’s unlikely to feature in this year’s MLS season

Speaking in New York on Monday, Beckham discussed the extent of the Achilles’ Injury he suffered whilst playing on-loan at AC Milan.

“I won’t be running for another three months,” He told Amercian Broadcaster ABC

“So I will be playing again in, probably, November.

“This is an injury that will take time to heal, it is only six weeks after the surgery.

“I want to push it, but with this kind of injury you can’t – you have to wait for it to heal and then move on.

“It is still repairing so I can’t stretch it too much.”

Whilst the news will come as a blow to LA Galaxy fans, many will be taking heart from the team’s spirited start to the season, which sees the team unbeaten in their opening 5 games, and having only conceeded once in 450 minutes of play.

Beckham, however, did hint that he is set to take a more active off-field role in Fabio Capello’s plans this summer – with many speculating this will be in some sort of ‘Press Liason’ position.
