Barcelona’s Champions League game against Viktoria Plzen turned out to be the perfect game to be wearing an all-new pair of football boots, as both Messi and Fabregas netted their maiden goals in the latest footwear from adidas and Puma!

The Spanish and European champs were in imperious form last night, as they ran out 4-0 winners over the Czech outfit to secure passage out of Group H.

Stealing the headlines – as usual – was Lionel Messi, who took home the plaudits and the match ball with a fine 3-goal display.

Whilst this was the Argentine ace’s fourth hat-trick of the season so far, this marked Messi’s first competitive goals in the new F50 adiZero miCoach – which were making a slightly surprising competitive debut.

adidas surprised just about everyone when Messi gave the F50 adiZero miCoach it’s first outing back in September in an international friendly between Argentina and Nigeria, and it looks like another successful gamble for the three stripes as Messi turned in a man-of-the-match performance in his new red and yellow football boots.

The rest of the world’s F50 wearers – including the likes of Gareth Bale, David Villa, Ashley Young and Samir Nasri – are all set to follow in Messi’s footsteps this weekend as the F50 adiZero miCoach starts it’s domination of the world’s pitches.

Rounding off the scoring was Cesc Fabregas, who grabbed his first goal wearing the new Puma PowerCat 1.12.

Whilst the ex-Arsenal captain’s goal was a header, Fabregas will undoubtedly be thrilled to get his first goal in the new Puma PowerCat 1.12, as well as putting in an exceptional all-around performance.

Both of these stunning new football boots are now officially out there on the pitch, and both have a release date in early December; which do you think wil be the most popular choice over the upcoming holiday season?
