BARCA SNAP UP DAVID VILLA

There must have been some chemistry between Messi & Villa at the adidas f50 adiZero launch last week!

No sooner had Barcelona wrapped up their most recent La Liga victory, have they signed Valencia and Spain’s David Villa.

For a reported fee of £34.2 Million, the adidas f50 adiZero wearer hasn’t come cheap – but Barcelona will hope that Villa will bring the team more goals than the unsettled Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Signed on a 4-year-contract Villa will, in theory, be playing at the Camp Nou until he is 32, giving the Catalan giants his best years of service.

A statement on Barcelona’s official website read: “FC Barcelona and Valencia CF closed a 40million euro deal for Spanish striker David Villa on Wednesday morning.

“The Spanish international is due in Barcelona on Thursday evening and will have a medical on Friday morning. Villa will then be officially unveiled as a Barca player.”

Connor – Not that we’ve heard! Reports are that it’s solely the €40m, but if there’s any more details they’ll be announced when Villa’s presented as a Barca player we imagine

Disappointing, after Barcelona’s last match where they won the league I was certain that Barca had so much chemistry and ability to dominate other teams that they wouldn’t be looking for new ways to. But then again that’s football, always something to improve on. I just don’t understand the reasoning behind this. Maybe there trying to become a team that is more inclined to be for Spaniards and to prepare them for the international tournaments. Next thing you know Torres and Fabregas will be richer too. I wonder if he did it for the money or a decent chance at La liga next year. And what’s wrong with Ibrahimovic? Plus Thierry Henry still has some life in him.

Ibra sucks and is inconsistent and Henry is going to red bulls. plus now that means madrid cant sign him
