GRANT STILL OPTIMISTIC

Chelsea badgeChelsea boss Avram Grant insists his team are still in with a chance of the Premier League title, though he admits, it’ll be harder to peg back Manchester United after being held to a 1 – 1 draw at home to Wigan on Monday.

Emile Heskey scored an injury time equaliser for Athletic at Stamford Bridge which means Chelsea trail United by 5 points with just 4 games remaining.

Chelsea face Everton on Thursday then play United on 26th April. Following that, they travel to Newcastle before ending the season at home to struggling Bolton.

“We are still in the title race. It is more difficult now but we will still fight away,” said Grant.

“We need to win the games against Everton and Manchester United,” added Grant. “If not, it will be more difficult – and we need one more bad result off Manchester United.

“We know at some stage you can lose the points but we didn’t want it to happen against Wigan.”
