Andy Kay has worked within the media industry for the past 20 years.
At BBC Radio Sport, Andy was trackside at two Olympic Games and as the editor of the flagship ‘Sport on Five’ programme, he was at the helm for such major events as football’s World Cup, the rugby World Cup, FA Cup Finals, Wimbledon, the Cheltenham Festival and the Boat Race.
Andy was Gary Lineker’s first producer when the former England international joined the corporation and he also edited ‘Parkinson on Sport, presented by broadcasting legend Michael Parkinson.
After 12 years at the BBC, Andy left to pursue a career as a stadium commentator and has since worked at many high profile events such as the Manchester and Melbourne Commonwealth Games, the Asian Games in Doha plus the World Indoor and European Indoor Championships in Birmingham and numerous London Grand Prix meetings.
From May 2002 to September 2004, Andy was Head of Sport for the Capital Radio Group, based in London.
