After yesterday’s adiPure delights coming in the form of two largely-monochrome new colourways, it’s nice that adidas have also launched the adiPure IV – Black/Zero Metallic/Blue Splash for those of us who fancy a bit of colour on out football boots!
Not too much extra colour, mind you, with the basis of the boot still mostly being Black and whi…Sorry, Zero Metallic.
The Black leather upper and white adidas stripes are definitely a classic look, and do hark back to classic football boots like the Copa Mundial, World Cup and previous adiPures – but the adiPure IV – Black/Zero Metallic/Blue Splash also brings a touch of gold to the stitching and classic adidas logo on the tongue.
adidas have also added a good amount of the ‘Blue Splash’ that we first saw on the adiPure IV’s alternative launch colourway, and we think it looks great on the ‘collar’ and tongue, bringing something that we’ve not seen on any of the adiPure line before this.
The adiPure IV – Black/Zero Metallic/Blue Splash also adds that Blue Splash to the soleplate, which helps even the boot out and give them a fresh, modern look to the classic design.
We also like the gold studs, which match the stitching in the upper, but offer a sharp contrast to the white three stripes on the instep and outstep.
After a week of great adiPure colourways, we’re struggling to name a clear favourite, but there’s definitely something about the adiPure IV – Black/Zero Metallic/Blue Splash has that the other two don’t.
In many ways, it reminds us of the Euro 2008 Edition Nike football boots, which were huge favourites in the Footy-Boots.com offices:
As with the rest of the latest flurry of adidas football boots, the new adiPure IV – Black/Zero Metallic/Blue Splash will go on sale June 1st, with pre-orders starting this week.

the blue sole reminds me of the nike euro 2008 boots.
