After speculation whether the man himself would get a signature LZ colourway, we’re pleased to reveal the return of the David Beckham line as adidas launch the adidas Predator LZ DB – White / Olympic Pink / Black!
Looking as striking and individual as just about every single one of Mr. Beckham’s haircuts, the ‘DB’ designation makes it’s Lethal zones debut on the adidas Predator LZ DB – White / Olympic Pink / Black.
Using the new Predator’s signature ‘fade’ to great effect, the Predator LZ DB – White / Olympic Pink / Black fades from a cotton-candy pink into white on the heel, with the signature adidas stripes picked out in black.
Whilst David Beckham donned a special pink Predator last year to mark the birth of his daughter, Harper, we think adidas had something else in mind with the distinctive Pink colour.
Dubbed ‘Olympic Pink’ you’ll see this exact same hue used all across the 2012 Olympic games in London this summer, from the Logo right down to the official match ball of the Olympic football tournament; the Albert.
With the MLS season in full swing, and with the Team GB Olympic squad yet to be named, it certainly seems like adidas are tempting fate with the adidas Predator LZ DB – White / Olympic Pink / Black – but it goes without saying, that seeing Beckham lead out the first Team GB squad in half a century in such striking boots would be well worth the gamble for the three stripes.
Whilst not officially unveiled until this week, Becks clearly couldn’t wait to get his feet into the adidas Predator LZ DB – White / Olympic Pink / Black, as he gave them an early debut against the Montreal Impact – using the new ‘Sweet Spot’ zone to devastating effect as he curled home a vintage Backham free-kick.
