adidas are signing off the year in style with a collection of football boots they’re calling the Pure Leather pack.
What’s the hook?
As if you need to ask. Let’s see what the Three Stripes are bringing to the table with the adidas Predator Instinct Pure Leather.
First off, let’s talk materials. For one time only, adidas are ditching the HybridTouch material that has characterised the Instinct so far to bring in a K-Leather upper for the adidas Predator Instinct Pure Leather.
adidas have opted to make the Pure Leather pack a truly premium playing experience for those who can get their hands on a pair, and have opted to bring this legendary material back to the Predator for the first time since the adidas Predator Powerswerve.
The engineers in Herzo have always insisted that the new, all-over style of the Predator elements are only possible thanks to the versatility of HybridTouch synthetic – so, true to their word the adidas Predator Instinct Pure Leather will be one of the only instances we can think of where the Predator won’t boast any rubberised contact zones.
Instead, adidas have brought in a ‘deco-stitching’ forefoot that mirrors the major lines and contact points of the current Predator Instinct configuration.
The result is a pure, K-leather feel for players who want the best of a modern boot, with the upper of a material that is regarded as one of the best in the game for football boots.
Elsewhere on the boot, many of the other key features of the adidas Predator Instinct make the transition over to the adidas Predator Instinct Pure Leather.
A low-profile internal heel counter is enhanced with anti-slip lining on the internal liner and tongue, whilst the nifty ControlFrame soleplate provides added feel for the ball on this crucial part of the foot.
Finally, let’s talk about that look. How could it be anything else? adidas have gone for a pure black upper with the classic stripes called out in white.
A flash of gold appears on the heel of the adidas Predator Instinct Pure Leather to call out the traditional leather imprint, and the insole follows suit for an unseen touch of class.
Available in limited quantities from today, what do you think of the adidas Predator Instinct Pure Leather?
