When adidas came out all guns blazing with the release of the ACE15 and X15, many were wondering where Lionel Messi was going to be placed. adidas billed the ACE15 as the football boot for players who control the game, whilst the X15 was for those who can cause chaos. The answer was obvious, Lionel Messi was the exception and for him adidas have created his own silo – adidas MESSI15 football boot.

The adidas MESSI15 was designed in collaboration with Lionel Messi himself and includes four significant product innovations:

messiTOUCH – Okay so the name is not very innovative. That apart, the upper of this boot is pretty neat, it’s got an x-ray surface which helps with grip on the ball, stability and foot fitting comfort.

messiFRAME – Provides a locked-in fit. The exposed cage offers stability and maximum traction.

messiPRINT – New, rounded forefoot studs.

messiGAMBETRAX – Combined with the messiPRINT provides a dynamic stud configuration and outsole that delivers explosive movement. Check out the Messi logo on the centre stud too!
