After the reveal of the adidas f50 adiZero, there was one colourway that everyone was talking about!
The Chameleon/White/Electricity football boots certainly captured everyone’s imagination, with the gorgeous colour-changing shimmer from Purple to Green and back again!
As you probably know by now, this colour of the adidas f50 adiZero is currently exclusive to the one-and-only Lionel Messi. The Barcelona and Argentina Maestro will wear this as his own colourway for the duration of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in the summer. After that this colourway will be open to Pro’s the world over to wear.
Another revelation was that the leather version of the adidas f50 adiZero would also be coming out in this colourway, and surprisingly the leather version carries off the colour-changing Chameleon as well – if not better – than the SprintSkin Synthetic!
The Leather version of the adiZero‘s creases in the upper add an impressive organic feel to the Chameleon f50 adiZero’s, that we expect to be hugely popular to the boot-buying public!
We love attention to detail here at Footy-Boots.com, and another nice touch by adidas, is the inclusion of different coloured studs in the SG version. While the FG model of the f50 adiZero has 11 ‘Electricity’- tipped studs, the SG model replaces 6 of these plastic studs with 6 screw in metal ones, which are a sweet contrasting purple in colour.
Here’s the tech specs for these boots, in case you haven’t seen them:
Lightweight Construction
The Adidas F50 adiZero TRX FG is the world’s lightest football boot. Weighing in at only 5.8 ounces, the F50 adiZero FG provides athletes with an ultra-lightweight fit, that’s even lighter than the Nike Mercurial Vapor SL.
To create the world’s lightest cleats, Adidas created two new advanced technologies to dramatically reduce the weight of the shoe, while also maintaining its stability: Sprint Skin and Sprint Frame.
Sprint Skin
Adidas Sprint Skin technology is a single layer synthetic that provides reduced weight and excellent ball control. Sprint Skin is a synthetic material that is lighter, thinner and softer than usual synthetics, making this football boot supreme for speed, comfort and feel. Increased ball control and lightweight features make Sprint Skin ideal for the serious player.
Sprint Frame
The Sprint Frame technology designed by Adidas is featured on the outsole of the F50 adiZero and is incredibly lightweight. Sprint Frame also helps increase stability through geometry.
Increased Speed
The Adidas F50 adiZero football boots are the ultimate high speed boot. Utilising Adidas TRAXION technology, the F50 adiZero features a brand new stud shape that helps provide maximum acceleration on the pitch.
TPU Bottom Frame
The TPU Bottom Frame of the F50 adiZero helps provide for ultimate durability and performance. This helps increase stability and reinforcement while increasing protection against abrasion in the kicking area. Improved bonding between the outsole and upper also provides for improved durability.
Internal TPU Support Bands
The internal TPU Support Bands on the F50 adiZero help provide increased stability and support, and reinforce a single-layer upper material. These bands also provide important energy savings and increase comfort.
Agion Anti-Microbial Technology
Adidas has also included the Agion anti-microbial technology for improved protection against bacteria.
Agion’s recent advances in technology make it possible to build antimicrobial properties right into the surfaces of products ĹĄ so the products themselves fight and kill microbes. An antimicrobial product is literally self-cleaning, inhibiting microbial growth around the clock, day in and day out.
Launched by ‘The Spark’ himself at a speed-themed launch do in Barcelona, Lionel Messi, David Villa and a pair of customised racing cars took centre stage as the La Liga stars took the time to answer questions about what they loved so much about these extra-light football boots!
The Chameleon/White/Electricity adidas f50 adiZero football boots are also the stars of the latest adidas ad that you’ll see on televisions and computer screens the World over in the run up to the World Cup!
