adidas seem to be preparing for another big advertising push (about time!) to mark the UEFA Champions League getting into it’s stride with some classic match-ups this week.


The new adidas ad is titled ‘Danger Makes Legend’ and features all the biggest stars from the UEFA Champions League in action.

The ad then pushes the message ‘Fast Fuels Danger’, followed by ‘Danger Makes Legend’ – we can only guess that once again adidas are going to put a focus on speed at the forefront of their campaign heading into the busy Christmas season, pushing the adidas F50 adiZero as their flagship football boots.

Either that, or adidas have stolen’s idea to introduce a Takeshi’s Castle-style obstacle course to the 18-yard box in the UCL, that players will have to navigate at speed before being allowed to score.

Unlikely, but we’d love to see what Sep Blatter would have to say about that!

Either way, the ad ends with a ominous ‘Are you Fast Enough – October 2010’, so we’re guessing that there’s more to come from this line of ads, possibly something that players can participate in!

It’s interesting to see how much can change in less than a year; 8 months ago, adidas were focusing exclusively on the Predator_X and it’s players like Gerrard and Ballack.

Now neither of those players are in the Champions League, and it’s the F50 that’s the top of the adidas football boots pile!
