Emmanuel Adebayor scored twice as Arsenal reach the last 16 of the FA Cup with a 3-1 extra-time win, in the replay at Bolton’s Reebok Stadium.
Four goals, two penalty misses, plenty of woodwork and a sending off!
The FA Cup came to life last night in an exhilarating encounter, which saw Arsenal beat Bolton 1 3 after extra time.
Adebayor’s Boots
Adebayor opened the scoring for Arsenal, wearing his +F50 TUNiT 2 football boots. The 22 year old Togo international, saw his deflected shot hit the net on 13 minutes.
Bolton hung on, even after Gilberto hit a penalty way over the bar and Adebayor struck the post after rounding the keeper. Bolton however, were rewarded for their persistence when in added time, Meite scrambled the ball into the Arsenal net.
Substitute Freddie Ljungberg put Arsenal ahead in added time, with a clinical finish. Tal Ben Haim was then sent off for his second booking and Julio Baptista managed to hit another spot kick over the bar, before Adebayor slotted a third goal from close range.
Arsenal now entertain Blackburn this weekend in the last 16 of the FA Cup.
