The adidas adiPower Predator is on the verge of it’s official release, and as such some of Europe’s biggest stars are warming up for a weekend of crunch-ties in their new football boots!
Manchester City are one club in particular who have caught the eye as they look to end their decades-long wait for silverware at Wembley this weekend.
Current-adiPure man Edin Dzeko looks to be contemplating a change of his football boots, as he drops the adiPure IV for the adidas adiPower Predator.
There has been plenty of speculation over whether the adiPower will become something of an ‘all-around’ boot for adidas, becoming the lightest Predator ever, but also the most comfortable and have more of a focus on control – players like Dzeko and Kaká switching silos would seem to suggest this is definitely a possibility.
How fitting that a veteran like Patrick Viera would be the first player we spot in the classic Black/White/Predator Red version of the adidas adiPower Predator!
The big Frenchman has been a Predator fan for nearly a decade, wearing the Predator Mania for Arsenal way back in 2002, so it’s good to seem him sticking to the original Predator colour scheme!
World Cup winner Xavi has often been a difficult man to please when it comes to his football boots! Since (eventually) switching to the Predator_X, Xavi has been spotted in a huge variety of custom versions of adidas’ flagship boot; with everything from the PowerSwerve soleplate, to an upper with no Predator ‘vamps’ on at all!
It will definitely be a testament to the adidas adiPower Predator‘s design should the Spaniard decide to stick with his new football boots and not tweak them in any way. Credit to diko for this great spot!
One of the hottest transfer prospects of the summer, Belgian teenage sensation Romelu Lukaku took to Twitter to show off his box-fresh new adidas adiPower Predators from Anderlecht’s training ground.
Giving us a great up-close look at the new football boots – and his choice of customisation – we wonder whether we’ll be seeing these very cleats on English soil by August…? Credit to Thomas H for this one!
Finishing off for anyone who missed it yesterday is Mr Charlie Adam of Blackpool, who was another Twitter-happy chappy who posted his new football boots on the social networking site.
Another target of transfer speculation, we think Adam’s new adidas adiPower Predators will play a vital part in whether the seaside club retain their top-flight status for another year. Credit to Charlie R, here!
Have you seen anyone else giving the adiPower an early run out?
Let us know in the comments!
watched a video of a bayer leverkusen training…several players are already wearing them as well (e.g. barnetta, kieĂźling, ballack…)
They look kinda retro in the Black/White/Pred Red, the thick stripes make the boots profile look very stocky, solid and powerful
Look like adi5s.
Nani posted a picture of the these boots in his twitter account and said he would be playing in them this weekend.
soooo good, best version of the predator since the Mania’s in 2002
liverpool lads also wearing them already
Kuyt and Maxi also wearing it with the classic colour scheme in the photos on LFCTV http://bit.ly/koQQT2
viera rocking the classic colourway = adidas did not abandon france just yet
Toby Alderweireld from Ajax wears the Adipowers at the training too.I think at the title match too this sunday.
