The Welsh and Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has suffered a broken leg, reminiscent of the same injury suffered by team-mate Eduardo in 2008.
Aaron Ramsey suffered a leg break against Stoke in Arsenal’s 3-1 victory.
Playing in Arsenal’s 3-1 win at Stoke, Aaron Ramsey suffered a broken leg in the 65th minute after a challenge with Stoke’s Ryan Shawcross.
The 19 year old was stretchered off the pitch' and travelled straight to hospital and underwent an operation, which Arsenal described as being successful, on Saturday evening.
Arsenal Statement:
“During yesterday’s match against Stoke City, Aaron Ramsey sustained fractures to the tibia and fibula in his right leg. Yesterday evening he underwent surgery,” read an official club statement.
“The operation successfully reduced the fractures and whilst it is too soon to state an exact timescale for recovery, Aaron will certainly miss the remainder of this season.
“Our thoughts are with Aaron at this time and everyone at the club wishes him all the best in making as speedy a return to action as possible.”
Cesc Fabregas:
“This is the third injury of this type I have seen in three years. First Diaby, then Eduardo and now Ramsey. I don’t think the referee’s are giving enough protection.”
Some TV companies would not show a re-run of the Aaron Ramsey leg break video, if you want to see it, watch the video here

I feel sorry for aaron ramsey of course. But i also feel sorry for ryan shawcross he didn’t mean to hurt aaron ramsey he was even crying whenever he was taken off the pitch. Best of luck to aaron ramsey to get well soon
Saw the photo of it as it happened and it made me feel sick with the position the bottom half of his leg was in.
Such a promising young talent doesn’t deserve such a set back to his career.
lololololololololololololololololol
i support aresnal 😉
Don’t forget Nasri, Diaby broke his leg in training last summer, and if you’ve seen a video of it it’s much more deliberate than Shawcross’ tackle
Feel sorry for Ryan… poor lad… can’t be easy walking away with your foot still attached to your leg…
What The heck…
The fact is that this is the second time Shawcross has broken someones leg with a reckless challenge… the first was a couple of years ago, ex Arsenal player Francis Jeffers had his lef shattered by the same player…
And what did everyone say at the time…
Oh Ryan is not that kind of player…
What about the off the ball and off the field challenge on Adebeyor last season by the same player that saw him walk away smirking after the ref missed did nothing and Adebeyor out for a month…
Get a grip people, Ryan Shawcross IS that kind of player.
And it is posts like this that allow this kind of player to continue to play with the same reckless nature, year in year out.
this is horrible its always the best players
