2015 PFA Awards Nominees

Diego Costa, David De Gea, Philippe Coutinho, Eden Hazard, Harry Kane and Alexis Sánchez are the six players nominated for this year’s PFA Players’ Player of the Year award.

Coutinho, De Gea, Hazard and Kane have also been nominated for the Young Player of the Year award, along with Thibaut Courtois and Raheem Sterling.

Eden Hazard, who won the Young Player Award last year, is the only nominee from last year to make the nominee list for the senior award.

Previous winners of the prestigious PFA Players’ Player of the Year award have included Kenny Dalglish, Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo and Ryan Giggs. The current holder is Luis Suarez.

The list was voted for by players from 100 clubs from the Premier League, Football League and Women’s Super League.

Voting Explained

  • Appointed PFA delegates deliver the ballot forms to the training ground of the 92 league clubs and 8 WSL clubs.
  • Members are not allowed to vote for a player that is at the same club as themselves.
  • The cut-off age for the PFA Young Player of the Year award is 23 years old or under as at the beginning of the season (1st July 2014).
  • The winners for each category will be announced at the PFA Awards on the 26th April 2015 in London.
