Fernando Torres couldn’t have wished for a better debut in the new Nike k-leather Total 90 Laser II’s against Real Madrid last night.

The former Atletico Madrid striker was a thorn in Real’s side all night and forced goalkeeper Iker Casillas into a brilliant save before opening the scoring on 16 minutes from close range.

Liverpool went on to record a 4 – 0 win on the night with further goals from Steven Gerrard (x 2) and substitute Andrea Dossena.

In addition, the new Nike football boots also got 10 seconds of prime time TV coverage – interviewed after the game, the ITV cameras showed a close up of Torres’ feet as his right ankle was strapped up with an ice bandage. Clearly visible on his left foot was the k-leather Total 90 Laser II in the white / red / black colourway.
