Manchester United welcome back goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar who missed Saturday’s game against Aston Villa with a groin strain. Along with van der Sar, Michael Carrick, Patrice Evra, Rio Ferdinand and Ryan Giggs were also in the squad, having all picked up knocks at the weekend. To further compliment and already strong squad, Ferguson also included Mikael Silvestre who has recovered from a knee ligament injury, sustained in September.

Nani is one missed omission, he has been ruled out of the first leg due to a thigh strain.
