Puma have today released the third generation of the v-Konstrukt football boot, the v-Konstrukt III.

Check out the new Puma PowerCat

Incorporating a fresh, new design and in a gold, white and black colourway, the v-Konstrukt III should certainly stand out on the pitch and Puma insist that the high technical spec will provide the comfort and protection required for ultimate game performance.

Indeed, Puma have gone big on protection with this boot.

There’s what described as a ball impact guard plus a finger shaped external heel counter. The dual density EVA creates a snug fit around the heel too, also providing maximum cushioning by adapting to the heel and ankle whilst the integrated DuoCell unit also results in optimal cushioning when running.

Comfort is another plus point being touted by Puma. The v-Konstrukt III features premium full grain, supersoft leather and the Puma Aptolast which Puma say provides a glove like fit allowing the upper to perfectly mould to the foot, maximising player energy.

Other features of the v-Konstrukt III include off centered lacing reducing the ball impact and metal tipped conical studs.

Endorsed by the likes of international players such as Shay Given, David Wheater and Nemanja Vidic (as pictured above), the Puma v-Konstrukt III is available from today and will retail at £90.

Puma doesn’t it again, another stylish football boot, I use to have a pair of Puma Kings and they were one the best boots I ever had.

I have a bone that sticks out on both of my heels. It’s very common with the players on my team, so i need to ask:
What is the padding like/material on the inside of the boot where the heel would be?
I find i get blisters unless they are spongy like adidas preds, or the old puma execs.
    Cheers!

I have these boots and have worn them for the past couple of months. I have very narrow feet and and high arches. The boots are very spongy and provide a lot of power BUT they have a part on the outside side of each boot which digs in to the bone in your foot. It has been absolutely killing me wearing them, especially when a sharp turn or a transfer of weight is needed. I wouldn’t recommend these boots if you have very skinny feet (even though they are a tight fit).

Bought a pair of these a month ago for cheap because the powercat came out and was too expensive, and I only wanted a replacement boot to substitute my maestris.

    FANTASTIC boot.

At first there is a part near your little toe where the “shot shield” is stitched to the super-soft leather that rubs for a few weeks but after you break these boots in (which is both easy and quick) that part no longer rubs and the boot becomes perfectly comfortable.

Once comfortable the ball gives you a great striking surface for bullet shots and a large padded surface for passing, not as great as my maestris nor as light but definitely very good as well. Despite being 11 ounces they are lighter than the laser II and allow you to dance around challenges easily. I readily recommend these boots if you can get them for cheaper than any other top-level boots. They won’t let you down at all.
