Puma v-Konstrukt II football boots launching in January 2007 are sounded as the second generation of football boots.

The Puma v-Konstrukt II, is a lightweight performance football boot, which sees fine-tuning and improvements to its protective features. Something which is becoming more and more important with so many long term injuries, often bening blamed on footbal boots.

Designed and engineered to protect players from inner and outer forces, while maintaining the product’s light weight, the v-Konstrukt II utilises a super-soft, thin and lightweight full grain leather upper to boost comfort and overall fit.

Off-centered lacing optimises pressure distribution upon impact and reduces ball impact forces to the center of the foot whereas the revolutionary anatomically shaped AptoLast sets a benchmark in football footwear comfort. AptoLast provides a glove-like fit that allows the upper to perfectly mould to the player’s foot - ergonomically and optically.

The striking v-Konstrukt II Dynamic Flex Guard holds three interlinked protection elements:

1.) A new and dynamic EVA construction completely covers the rear of the foot, providing extra protection and cushioning by adapting to the heel and ankles;

2.) a TPU-injected “finger-shaped” Heel Counter works in harmony with the EVA cushioning, supporting the foot as dictated by pitch conditions and open play. The new construction also reduces the pressure on the Achilles;

3.) the integrated DuoCell reduces the impact on the lower limb during the running movement.

Available in the shops from Janaury 2007, this football boot seems to focus attention on an area that has been overlooked - player safety (see Football Boots to Blame).
