Italian giants Inter Milan have reportedly approached the former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho with a view to taking over at the San Siro.
The move comes after current coach Roberto Mancini announced last month that he was to leave the club after their Champions League exit at the hands of Liverpool. However, the Italian, who has four years left on his contract, quickly reversed that decision and stated his desire to stay.
44 year old Mourinho has been linked with a host of European clubs since he left Chelsea in September last year.
His agent said “”He (Mourinho) always showed interest in working in Italy, and he received the contact with pleasure.”
Inter have won the last two Serie A titles and are once again on top of the league this season, four points clear of the chasing pack with eight games left to play.
