Adidas Predator Power Swerve Football Boots
It’s been kicking around since 1994, that’s when adidas introduced the first Predator. Now, 14 years, and 9 editions later, adidas has revealed two new editions to the Predator PowerSwerve family.
The Predator football boots are famed for power, swerve and control, so think of the two new football boots as ‘souped-up’ Predators, with a different performance attribute amplified in each one.
Predator ‘POWER’ Swerve
• Features an extra 10 grams of additional tungsten powder in the insole
• “With an extra 10g of Tungsten powder in the Power Pulse I can feel a lot more bang in my boot” – Steven Gerrard (Liverpool and England)
Predator Power ‘SWERVE’
• Features additional liquid rubber on the medial vamp
• “You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to work out how to use the swerve zone. Just follow through the ball and let the liquid rubber ribs take care of the curve” – Anderson (Manchester United and Brazil)
Highlights
The new football boots feature Predator SMART foam on the strike zone to give extra power, swerve and control. In testing the football boot was found to give 3% more force and 8% more swerve than its predecessor.
The foam also adapts and changes to suit the way you kick the ball so you get maximum velocity, or shock adsorption, depending on your needs.
The dynamic Power Pulse insole features 40g of ‘Tungsten’ powder - which shifts and spreads weight in the sole to where you need it, behind the exact place of impact with the ball to get total weight transfer.
Each football boot comes with two insoles - a ‘power’ and a ‘lightweight’ version - so a simple swap allows you to customise your game.

well it takes time to get used to them, i used to think the abosolutes were ugly and now they look great. most likely you guys will soon see that they look nice.

I don’t know about these new boots. The power pulses are useless (like always) IMO. I’ve been a long time fan of Adidas, but I have to ditch these predators, Adidas’s so-called “technologies” are useless. The power pulses could not do a damn thing about it. Also, already got beaten by Nike in sales this year, IMO. I had to switch from Adidas to Nike this year. Maybe should stop focusing on how it looks, but focus on improving on the performance of the boots instead.

Yall are stupid. These shoes look better than any of the absolutes, except maybe the new beckham abs. These shoes are gonna sell just as good as any Nike shoe, adidas has nothin to worry about. And who cares if it looks like the Manias, those were the best Predators adidas ever made.

The reason Nikes sold more than Adidas is because they have 4 top of the line shoes (Vapor, T90, Air Legends, and Tiempo Ronaldinho) while Adidas only has 2 (Predator and F50). And who cares if these look like the Manias, those are the best Predators Adidas ever made.

Mates, this boots are so ugly!! too much technology…shame. I’am a really big fan of Adidas since child, but I prefer the Mania, Power Pulse and the Absolute better than this ones, beacuse, the PowerSwerve looks like the Umbro models!! hahaha Nike sucks!! Nike only worries about “fashion” but not quality!! As Adidas does!! Adidas Forever!!!

These new preds fit a bit tighter than ever before. I had to send mine back in the same size I’ve been wearing for the past 7-8 yrs. Heels kept getting blisters and new pred technology on front of boots give more power but less touch on the ball with all the extra rubber, etc. Not impressed lately with Adidas, despite being a big fan of them for a long long time. They need to regroup and design another top boot- preds and copas are all they have in the past 30+ yrs.!?

These are hot and comfy. The Adidas brand is way better than Nike or Umbro. Nike first of all use the cheapest and sh***iest leather possible. Umbro Shoes for the most part are very unattractive, but i can admit they r getting better. Adidas always makes a perfect blend between, technology, Comfort, and look. Adidas forever. Sod Nike. Nike only makes better sneakers. Also adidas sponsor better footballers like Kaka, Zizou, raul, Xavi, Becks kinda, Xabi ALonso, Van Persie, Ballack, Lampard, Kalou, Viera, Altidore.

just bought a pair, love them. The comfort is immense and yes they do make it easier to swerve etc and as for the power? minor detail, not noticable difference but still, lush boots

THE ADIDAS PRED POWERSWERVE SG are really poorly made. My first pair split after 2 months. My second pair the stud broke off after 3 months. They were really expensive. i’m writing to Adidas to complain.

The champions league edition of the predators look stunning! They are very expensive though! Worth a look on ProDirect but am torn between those and the champions league adipure ll and the F50.9. I’m a goalie. Anyone with adivice? Thanks!
