There may not have been as many goals as Futsal Match Day 7, but day 8 at the Futsal World Cup had some great action.

In Group D both Iran and the Czech Republic won their Futsal matches which gives them both a good chance of going through to the next stage. In Group C two easy victories for the Ukraine and Guatemala were the highlights of the day.

In Group C Guatemala easily went pass China with a comfortable 10-1 win, it was Guatemala’s second win in the competition, they now have 6 points and play Argentina for a place in the next stage. China are out of the competition without gaining a point in their 3 matches.

The other game in Group C was between the Ukraine and Egypt; the Europeans won 5-1 and are in a fight with Argentina and Guatemala for one of the two places to advance to the next stage. The Ukraine have an easier task playing against China who are already relegated.

The Czech Republic defeated Libya 4-2 and will play Iran to see who goes through.

Also in Group D Iran defeated Uruguay, also by 4 goals to 2, with the defeat the South Americans are out of the competition having scored only 1 point in three matches.
