Manchester United gained two points on Arsenal at the top of the table, with a convincing win at Fulham.
United, with the Champions League in mind, rested Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney, but neither were missed as they cruised past Fulham.
Manchester United took the lead through Owen Hargreaves. On 15 minutes after Brede Hangeland fouled Carlos Tevez, Hargreaves stepped up and knocked the dead ball past Antti Niemi from 20 yards, his first for the club.
Looking in timely form now, Manchester United scored their second of their three goals just before the half way mark, Ji-Sung Park headed in from a Paul Scholes’ cross, his first goal for over a year.
Although the game was over before the second half had started, the confirmation came on 72 minutes, Simon Davies turning into his own goal, for a John O’Shea cross.
