EVERTON 1-0 DERBY

Everton Everton 1-0 DerbyDerby

A solitary goal was enough for Everton to claim all three points at home to Derby County.

Leon Osman’s seventh goal of the season kept Everton in the hunt for a Champions League spot.

Against already relegated Derby it took a low drive from midfielder Osman in the second half to claim the win that cut Liverpool’s lead in fourth spot to three over the Toffees.

For Derby this was almost a triumph after 27 league matches without a victory. They may have suffered the quickest relegation from the Premier League but they showed heart and spirit throughout.
