Tonight’s friendly international against France will be the toughest assignment for England leading up to the next World Cup qualifying campaign according to new coach Fabio Capello.
After the France game, England will play the USA in May and then the Czech Republic in August.
“It’s going to be our hardest match,” said Capello. “France are a good team and we’re playing in Paris, where there will be a good atmosphere.
“It will be a good test, it’s a good base to start from.”
The match will be Capello’s second in charge since he replaced Steve McClaren at the end of last year. In his first game, he oversaw a 2 – 1 home win against Switzerland at Wembley.
Capello has confirmed that LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham will earn his 100th cap in Paris to become the fifth England player to reach that milestone for his country.
