After only 15 minutes, James Harper hit an effort into the top-left corner.
Reading doubled their lead on 60 minutes when Nicky Shorey’s shot from outside the area was too strong for Roy Carroll to keep, it dropped to Lita who knocked it to Dave Kitson to tap in.
Kevin Doyle scored from close range, before Lita added the fourth in the final minute.
