Stoke City played out a tense 0-0 draw against Leicester to gain automatic promotion into the Premier League next season, Leicester go in the opposite direction.

Stoke City have won promotion into English football’s top flight, making a return after a 23 years.

Promotion to the Premier League was confirmed after they drew 0-0 with Leicester. Whilst Stoke were celebrating, Leicester were commiserating, the result confirmed their relegation into League 1.

Stoke join West Bromwich Albion in the top flight, they were confirmed champions after wining away at QPR, 2-0.

The play off’s places at the top of the Championship were taken by Hull City, Bristol City, Crystal Palace and Watford.
